Orthodontic Staff

Ashley – Financial Coordinator Most of our patients feel as if Ashley is a member of their family. Her smile has been seen in our office since 1996! Ashley originally began working with Dr. Mizell as a Clinical Assistant, so she knows all aspects of the orthodontic office. Ashley's favorite thing about working for Dr. Mizell is seeing the beautiful smiles – the result of our patients' treatment. Ashley says that she is grateful for the opportunity to get to know and watch our patients grow from children to young adults. Ashley enjoys reading, working in her yard, interior decorating, and spending time with her husband, family, and her two cats, Mimi and Crystal. Christine – Front Desk Coordinator Christine has 6 years administrative experience and gives "multi-tasking" an entirely new definition. She answers the phone, makes appointments, and happily takes on any task we throw her way. Christine's favorite aspect of her job is working in a caring and knowledgeable environment. She loves to spend her spare time with her family in the great outdoors (boating, fishing, and camping), weather permitting, of course! Amy – Clinical Coordinator Amy has been working as an orthodontic assistant for over 11 years and became a member of our team in 2003. Amy is a Certified Dental Assistant and Registered Dental Assistant. She is also our Clinical Coordinator and manages our laboratory operations. In her spare time, Amy enjoys decorating her home, spending time with her husband, family and her two Boxer dogs. She especially loves taking the time to visit with her grandparents, reminiscing about the good old days. Angela – Clinical Assistant Angela has been a member of our team since 2004. She has been involved in the field of dentistry since 1989. Angela has a kind, understanding demeanor and is especially gifted when it comes to helping our patients feel at ease. Angela is a Certified Dental Assistant and Registered Dental Assistant. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, reading, cross-stitch, and cuddling with her cat, Libby. Celeste – Clinical Assistant Celeste has over 17 years experience in orthodontics and has been working with Dr. Mizell since February, 2005. Celeste says that her favorite thing about working with Dr. Mizell is the fact that he provides great care to his patients and a fun, positive place to work. She is an active member of Second Baptist Church and loves doing mission work with her Bible class, especially repairing homes for the needy. In her spare time, she enjoys trying new restaurants in the area and shopping at the many book stores in Houston. Terri – Clinical Assistant Terri has been working as an orthodontic assistant for over 16 years and joined our team in May 2007. Terri is definitely a people person, as she enjoys meeting our patients and getting to know them during the course of their orthodontic treatment. She loves jogging, country dancing, and spending time with her friends and family. Kathy – Clinical Assistant Kathy recently joined our team, bringing with her 16 years experience in orthodontics. She loves the challenge of learning the latest, most innovative techniques introduced by the ever-changing orthodontic practice. Kathy, her husband and her five sons make their home in LaPorte with their dog, Jazz. Kathy is a former "California" girl and loves making jewelry, which you will notice when you see her in our office. She also loves decorating and making floral arrangements.
