Your first visit: evaluation

We look forward to meeting you on your first visit to our office! During this time, we will help you get acquainted with our practice and learn about your orthodontic treatment. We understand each patient’s orthodontic treatment is different, so we promise to give you the personal attention you deserve.

Your first orthodontic visit will consist of an examination and discussion of potential treatment options and estimated fees, as well as the proper timing of treatment. We will take a panoramic x-ray of your teeth to aid our evaluation.

Regular appointments

Our goal is to minimize loss of work and school time for our patients; therefore, we have created a schedule that works most efficiently for both our patients and our office. Because we respect your valuable time, we do our very best to see each patient on time. Your prompt arrival for appointments will enable us to ensure we stay on schedule and address all your needs.

Dr. Mizell sees his patients approximately every 6 weeks. We suggest being prepared to schedule the next appointment before leaving your current visit so we can appoint you for times that fit your busy schedule. Office hours are:

• Monday: 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Tuesday: 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Thursday: 1:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 12:00 Noon

Payment and office policies

Cost

The cost of treatment can vary significantly from patient to patient, and depends on the severity of the problem and length of treatment. Therefore, it is not possible to quote a treatment fee before Dr. Mizell sees the patient. You will be able to discuss fees and payment options at your complimentary initial examination.

Fees

In an effort to keep orthodontic fees down while maintaining the highest level of professional care, we have established this financial policy:

• To fit your individual needs, financial arrangements can be made to extend your payments over the length of treatment. However, if full payment is made at the onset of treatment, we will offer a fee discount.
• For your convenience, we accept payment by VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER, and AMERICAN EXPRESS

Insurance

If you would like to provide your orthodontic insurance company’s information to us, our office will gladly file your insurance claims for orthodontic treatment. Your insurance company will send payments directly to the insured. If you have any problems receiving payments, please call your insurance company first and let us know if they need additional information from us.
